Good morning, ReCAST!
Today’s “Sunday Service” is ready on YouTube!
We finished up Jude last week so now we’re back meeting Jesus in the book of Matthew “Not Your Average Savior” Sermon Series. This week, we’re looking at Matthew 18:1-6 “Growing Smaller”.
Zoom Prayer Meeting –
We will be holding a couple online prayer meetings this week – Sunday and Wednesday evenings – both at 8:30pm. To attend one of these meeting you MUST register in advance here. We will open the meetings at 8:00 for people to join a meet and greet time and plan to start praying around 8:30!
Meeting Together in Person
As you may know, the governor has extended the Stay Home Stay Safe executive order until May 28. In an effort to assist in helping mitigate the spread of the virus, we plan to continue Sunday mornings on YouTube in our own homes, as we’ve been doing, through the month of May. However, as quickly as things seem to be changing, these plans could change, too.
I have been talking with many of you about reopening ReCAST on Sundays. I’ve reached out to people in our church in the health care field and law enforcement field to hear their perspective on church meetings. I’ve spoken with church leaders from other churches. And, I’ve heard of a couple churches that plan to start meeting in person again as early as next week! (Both are much smaller in number than ReCAST.)
This is not a decision that the ReCAST leadership team is taking lightly. Please be in prayer for ReCAST that we will move forward in wisdom and unity as we seek to gather together again as soon as safely possible. If you have any questions or concerns about this process, please reach out and let me know!
ReCAST Kids Family Devotions –
Check out this 8 week family devotion pack from Truth78, the curriculum ReCAST Kids uses on Sundays. Weeks 1-3 are up and ready for you to use. We are posting one a week for ReCAST families.
And lastly, don’t forget to honor the mom’s in your life today – Mother’s Day! It is a good and godly thing to honor motherhood!
Until the Nets are Full,
Pastor Don
