Director of Growing in Community (up to 15 hours/week)
- Community Group champion – take lead in organizing groups, getting people involved, be in touch with leaders and assist Lead Pastor in training, casting vision for them, etc.
- Work with volunteers to plan and execute events (potlucks, retiree brunches, picnic, etc.) including family meetings, baptism events, child/parent dedications, etc.
- Plan and execute Family Meetings with staff and volunteers
- Plan and execute baptism events and child/parent dedications, usually part of Sunday morning services with staff and elders.
- Other community related tasks as assigned.
Skills:
- Able to have positive friendly and helpful interactions with group leaders and those looking to be in a group. Able to see this job as a ministry to the church.
- Adaptive and resourceful.
- Financially responsible.
- Proficient basic computer skills (able to use databases, order supplies online, etc)
- Able to work independently under the direct or indirect supervision of the Lead Pastor or his assistant
- Meet Biblical qualifications of a deacon/deaconess
- Must have excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Must submit to a background check prior to hire
- Member of ReCAST required (if not a current member, must become a member upon hire)
- Willing to agree with and work under the ReCAST Elders affirmation of faith
