What unusual times we are in! We have had some questions come our way so, we are sending out a special eCAST edition of Frequently Asked Questions!
Since the church office is closed, what do I do if I have a need or want to send in a check to church?
Pastor Don and/or Pastor Spencer will be at church most days to check the mail and make sure things are okay at the building. Phone calls to 668-7050 are being forwarded to staff phones so you can still call! And you can still email. Please know, the staff and office is fully functional – we’re just working from home!
Can I bring my kids to shoot baskets at church or meet someone there?
Nope. In effort to follow our government’s orders right now, we do encourage all of you to stay home. We are sure the kids are getting restless and it would be easy to have a playdate, but our government has really asked us not to do that right now. So, let’s do what they’ve asked. If you’re wondering why we should be taking this so seriously, here is a good word from Dr. Albert Mohler: listen to the podcast or read the transcript HERE!
How can we be praying for each other right now?
We are unrolling two new things to be in better communication about praying for each other:
First, we have started a private ReCAST Prayer group on Facebook. If you are on Facebook, please go to FOLLOW THIS LINK and request to become a member.
Second, we have a form ANYONE can fill out to request prayer, even if they are not a part of our ReCAST Family. You can FILL OUT THAT FORM HERE. If you want to be ON this email group that will get these requests, please email the office and you will be added.
What can I do to help at this time?
We have not heard of any specific things we can do as a church right now for our community. However, we anticipate there will be needs in the near future.
If you want to be a part of helping as needs arise, tell us by FILLING OUT THIS FORM.
If you need help, or someone you know in the ReCAST family or in the community at large needs help, tell us by FILLING OUT THIS FORM.
When will this end?
That’s a good question! At this point, Michigan is on a Stay Home, Stay Safe order from our governor through April 13. So, that means we will not be together again until Sunday, April 19 at the earliest. Please check our website for the most up to date information. You can also find links there to the Sunday services we’ve been recording and posting on YouTube.
Who was in the band that played in the ‘Sunday Service’ this past week? And who is doing all the work to get those services recorded?
Good question! This past week, Dave Bunt was leading vocals and guitar, David Schrock played electric guitar and bass on one song, Grace Lloyd played keys and background vocals, and Leigh Lloyd was on the the drums and did some vocals as well. Adam Filcek assisted in the recording aspect of the music. We will likely be going back to just Dave for the next few Sundays so less people have to leave their homes. Pastor Spencer has also helped as a camera guy (when he’s not hiding in the cupboard). David Schrock has been doing most of the camera and audio work plus all the editing and uploading of the videos. We are thankful for his skill in this area!
If you normally give money to the Lord by giving to ReCAST Church, we encourage you to continue to so do by mailing checks to the church to support our ministry and mission. Our address is 25120 Front Ave. Mattawan MI 49071. If you would find online giving more convenient, you may do that on our website (link above).
This fundraiser will keep going until we meet up again. Feel free to keep filling those bottles with change you find as you deep clean your homes and cars during the COVID-19 isolation!
