Upcoming Women’s Events

As Spring begins and Summer approaches, the Women’s Ministry Team would like to share these upcoming dates and activities with you!

Prayer and Plates (As in weight plates.)
Join other ReCAST ladies for a strength-building fitness group during the summer! The group will meet on Wednesday evenings 6:30-8:00pm at the ReCAST fire pit starting Wednesday May 27th. This group is open to all skill levels! Email the Women’s Group with questions!

Weekly Pickleball
ReCAST ladies open pickleball is planning to restart once weather permits, on Monday evenings 5-6:30pm at ReCAST. Contact the office with question with questions.

Summer Book Club
All ReCAST women are invited to join in reading My Dear Hemlock by Tilly Dillehay over the summer. Feel free to begin reading at your own pace anytime! Book copies will be available for a suggested donation at ReCAST, and it is also available on Kindle. There will be various locations to meet for an end-of-summer book discussion on August 17 or 18, sign ups to come soon. If you are interested in hosting a group in your home on one of those dates, please let us know!

Triple Bridal Blessing
We have three ReCAST ladies, Hope Webber, Bella LaPlace, ‘Camille Barber, and Kristen Houseman, who are recent or upcoming brides, and we are excited to celebrate them on Saturday, June 13 at 7pm! Our goal is to bless these new brides with encouragement and celebration, so whether you know them or not, and whether or not you can contribute to a gift, we’d love for you to attend! If you would like to contribute to a group gift, let us know by June 6.

Our next bridal and baby blessings will be in the fall, as we are moving toward having two each per year. Please reach out if you know of a ReCAST lady getting married or having their first child around the fall/winter so we can celebrate them at these events!

Women’s Lake Day

Camp Barakel Ladies’ Retreat
ReCAST ladies will be attending the September 18-20 retreat at Camp Barakel this fall! Registration begins July 15, and you can do so for yourself on Camp Barakel’s website, listed below. Make sure to include ReCAST as your group for accommodations. These retreats tend to fill up quickly, so mark your calendar for registration day! More details can be found at www.campbarakel.org/events/fall-ladies, contact the women’s group with any questions. Also please email once you’ve registered and let us know whether you’ll want to carpool!
